Mr. Suneel Galgotia, founder of the Galgotias University which is one of the best private universities in India was born into a family that was deeply involved with books since 1930.  They were selling books in Connaught Place, New Delhi under the name of E.D. Galgotia and Sons. Since he was surrounded by books, he got to read a lot which has made him a wise person who talks about his confidence and his morals and beliefs. He did his schooling at St. Columbia’s School, New Delhi that was founded in the year 1941. He did his college education from Shri Ram College of Commerce.

Suneel Galgotia started his career as an entrepreneur in the year 1980 when he engaged with a publishing venture. As the technology was rapidly growing, he used the Nascent Computer boom progressively at first, with Indian authors and with foreign authors and publishers. In the year 2000, he started the Galgotias Institute of Management & Technology (GIMT). At that time, there were only four students but now the University has come a long way and has more than 15000 students doing various UG and PG courses. The students of GIMT shared their stories at the campus and also talk affirmatively about Suneel Galgotia as a great mentor as well as chancellor. The Galgotias Educational institutions had two more additions namely Galgotia College of Engineering and Technology (GCET) and Galgotias Business School (GBS).  GCET alone has more than 4500 students. He is a great businessman, a great mentor and a man of few words, Suneel Galgotia is the person who showed how a private university can excel and compete with worldwide without disappointing anybody.

In Galgotias University (GU), they not only provide students with the best education but also train them in soft skills also. The university creates leaders in all fields and makes them the best in whatever they do. They mainly focus on the communication skills of the students as it is very important to possess communication skills.  He is being supported by his son Dhruv Galgotia who is the CEO of the GU. GU is also the recipient of several prestigious awards. The CEO and the students of GU have contributed to society as well.

Of late, their competitors who could not withstand the popularity and the eminence that GU has gained, are spreading rumors. This is mainly done with the maliciousness of bringing down the name of GU.
